Mumie ohne Universum

Video U-Matic Pal, 1992, 8 Min, stereo

Ein goldener Aufzug in einer Einkaufspassage zur Weihnachtszeit. Dazu Texte von Katharina Mayer und M. Thyes, ineinander verflochten gesprochen, geflüstert, gesungen, mit Geräuschen vermischt.
Installation: Projektion an die Decke des Gewölbes in der Griesgasse bei <rotor>, im Rahmen der Ausstellungsreihe 'as large as life'. Der Boden des Raumes war ausgelegt mit Teppichen und durfte nur ohne Schuhe betreten werden - eine Installation von Genco Gülan, Istanbul. Besucher/innen konnten sich auf die Teppiche legen und das Video entspannt anschauen.

Mummy without a Universe

A golden elevator in a shopping-mall at Christmas time. Texts by Katharina Mayer and M. Thyes, interweavingly spoken, whispered, sung and mixed with noises.
Installation: Projection onto the ceiling of the Griesgasse vault. The floor of the room was covered with (prayer-) rugs and was to be stepped on only without shoes – an installation by Genco Gülan, Istanbul. People could lie on the carpets and watch the video in a relaxed position.
