Der Film 'Terminator 2 - Judgement Day' von James Cameron steckt voller Anspielungen auf die christliche Heilsgeschichte, samt ihrer moralischen Klischees. Geschichte und Zukunft der Menschheit werden hier von einer Erlöser-Kleinfamilie in die Hand genommen. Ich montiere diese "heilsgeschichtlichen" Momente des Films zu einer Video-Collage, versehen mit Zitaten aus dem neuen Testament.

Matthäus 11, 28-29: Kommt her zu mir, die ihr mühselig und beladen seid.

Lukas 1, 46-48: Meine Seele preist die Größe des Herrn, denn auf die Niedrigkeit seiner Magd hat er geschaut.

Markus 1, 11: Du bist mein geliebter Sohn, an dir habe ich Gefallen gefunden.

Johannes 12, 50: Und ich weiß, dass sein Auftrag Ewiges Leben ist.

Lukas 7, 48–50: Deine Sünden sind dir vergeben; dein Glaube hat dir geholfen.

Lukas 22, 19: Dies ist mein Leib, der für euch hingegeben wird.

A collage of quotations - image and sound - from the film 'Terminator 2 - Judgement Day' by James Cameron, mixed with sentences out of the 4 gospels of the New Testament, spoken by a female voice. I take scenes from the film where christian moral clichees and myths of the saviour are shown and combine them with texts out of the bible.

Mattew 11, 28-29: Come to me, all you mourners and carriers of burdens.

Luke 1, 46-48: My soul glorifies the Lord, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden.

Marc 1, 11: You are my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

John 12, 50: And I know that his commandment is life everlasting.

Luke 7, 48-50: Your sins are forgiven; your faith has saved you.

Luke 22, 19: This is my body which is given for you.
